KFF INDUSTRY: FOCUS ON FINLAND CONFERENCE AND DOC LAB POLAND CO-PRODUCTION MARKET
As every year, Krakow Film Festival honours cinematography of selected country. The upcoming edition will be focused on Finnish cinema. Apart from the filmmakers, who will come to present their films, Krakow will also host Finnish film industry representatives. Especially for them, there will be held Focus on Finland Conference.
Finnish cinema will be the special guest of 59th Krakow Film Festival. “Focus on Finland” programme includes selection of the newest Finnish documentary, short and animated movies. Focus on Finland Conference is the section’s highlight. Principal aim of the conference is presentation of Finnish cinema, starting from the most important movies and directors, through film institutions and festivals, ending with production and financing of documentary films. The panel guests will be Finnish producers, filmmakers, TV stations editors, representatives of institutions financing film projects and representatives of Finnish film festivals. Experts who confirmed their particiaption include: Erkko Lyytinen (Yle – The Finnish Broadcasting Company) Sari Volanen (Yle – The Finnish Broadcasting Company), Suvi Paavola (Finnish Film Foundation), Piia Nokelainen (Finnish Film Foundation), Pekka Uotila (Finnish Film Foundation), Niklas Kullström (Hillstream Pictures), Jukka‑Pekka Laakso (Tampere Film Festival)
The Conference will be held on 29th May 2019, 9.45 - 11.15 in Krakow Technology Park (KPT).
The accompanying event of the Conference will be co-organized by the Wladyslaw Slesicki Film Foundation – Doc Lab Poland Co-production Market - international co-production meetings for invited producers, including producers from Finland. The Market is composed of the individual meetings in the one-on-one formula, aimed on finding a potential coproducer and international partner in creating a documentary film. Participation in the meetings was confirmed by sales agents, distributors, film commissions, commissioning editors, funds and representatives of pitching forums from around the world.
Doc Lab Poland Co-production Market will be held also on 29th May 2019, 11.30 - 18.30 in Krakow Technology Park (KPT).
Meetings will be held in English.
