THE LIST OF POLISH FILMS SELECTED FOR THE 50TH KRAKOW FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED!

The select­ors of the 50th Krakow Film Fest­ival, one of the old­est European film events, have ended their work and now we know the list of films qual­i­fied for the com­pet­i­tions of the anniversary 50th edi­tion of the Fest­ival, which will take place from 31st May to 6th June.

89 doc­u­ment­ar­ies, anim­a­tions and fea­ture films will take part in three com­pet­i­tions. They will com­pete for the Golden Horn (inter­na­tional doc­u­ment­ary com­pet­i­tion), for the Golden Dragon (Inter­na­tional Com­pet­i­tion) and for the Golden Hobby-​Horse (National Com­pet­i­tion). The com­pet­ing films were selec­ted from among 2000 entries, which came to the organ­izers and from among the films noticed at inter­na­tional fest­ivals. The 11-​person Selec­tion Com­mit­tee, divided into three groups, selec­ted the films, work­ing under the super­vi­sion of Krzysztof Gierat, who watches over the festival’s entirety.

Krakow Film Fest­ival will take place from 31st May to 6th June. The media and branch accred­it­a­tions are already being issued; tick­ets at the reduced prices are avail­able until 30th April. The dead­line for applic­a­tion is 15th May.

For the audi­ence, there are car­nets at reduced prices, until 10th May they can be booked on the Festival’s web­site (full-​price: 100 zloty, dis­coun­ted one: 50 zloty).
