POLISH SHORTS stand

POLISH SHORTS stand

POLISH SHORTS stand

At the Short Film Market beginning today in Clermont-Ferrand, during the biggest and the most important International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, France, Poland will again promote its films. The POLISH SHORTS stand, prepared as every year by Krakow Film Foundation, will be one of several dozens national stands, presenting cinematography from around the world.

On the stand, the interested visitors of the Market will have an opportunity to find information about the latest Polish short-length films, watch the trailers, get in touch with Polish film producers (representatives of Domino Film, Appetite Production and Studio Munka will be present in Clermont-Ferrand), learn about the coproduction possibilities and Polish festivals presenting short-length films. Each visitor will receive the DVD “Polish Shorts 2009“ — a DVD issued specially for this occasion, and a follow-up to last year’s edition, which was quite popular. On the DVD, there is a selection of short-length feature films produced in 2009 and forming a set of the most interesting and the most representative Polish short-length films.
Polish film producers, present in France, will also have a chance to take part in short-length film co-production forum, organized for the second time by the French film institution Sauve Qui Peut le Court Metrage in cooperation with Marche du Film Court de Clermont-Ferrand, CNC and Media Desk France. Krakow Film Foundation, which is the Polish partner of the Forum, has chosen the projects by Appetite Production and Domino Film, giving them a chance for showing their plans and achievements in front of a large group of experts, which means an opportunity to find a foreign co-producer or a possibility of having the film bought to be broadcast by important TV channels, among others ARTE or Canal+.

You can also watch Polish films in Clermont-Ferrand. The festival audience will see a short feature film, taking part in the contest: “Siemany” by James McGoldrick (Belgian co-production). In the video library of the Market, you can see as much as 19 Polish short-length documenatries, feature films and animations within the frames of the special programme Polish Shorts.

The Festival will last until 6th February, and the fair until 5th February.
