The Silver Eye Awards: Polish knock-out!

Dur­ing the clos­ing cere­mony of the Inter­na­tional Doc­u­ment­ary Film Fest­ival in Jih­lava, the Sil­ver Eye Awards for the best films qual­i­fied for the East Sil­ver Doc­u­ment­ary Mar­ket was given for the first time. Three Pol­ish doc­u­ment­ar­ies were awarded.

Mar­cin Janos Kraw­czyk’s filmSix weeks won the award for short-​length films. Bartek Konopka’s “Rab­bit a la Ber­lin” was acknow­ledged the best middle-​length film. Anna Kazejak’s “Side­track” was also given a dis­tinc­tion in this category.

At the East Sil­ver Doc­u­ment­ary Mar­ket, there are present­a­tions of doc­u­ment­ary pro­duc­tions from East and Cent­ral Europe. The event, dur­ing which the films and inform­a­tion about them are presen­ted via video lib­rary, cata­log and online data­base, was enacted within the frames of co-​production between Jih­lava Fest­ival and the Insti­tute of Doc­u­ment­ary Film.
