Inter­na­tional Academy of Doc­u­ment Dragon Forum is the inter­na­tional train­ing pro­gram for devel­op­ment and mar­ket­ing of the doc­u­ment­ary films. The dead­line for Dragon Forum 2012 is exten­ded till Janu­ary 1^st 2012 (Sunday 23:59).

Annual Academy edi­tion con­sists of three main ses­sions that are held in Eng­lish. The first is devoted to the script and dram­at­urgy, the second one to the pro­duc­tion and fin­an­cing, and the third to mar­ket­ing. Ses­sions are held in the cit­ies of Cent­ral Europe, and the last — pitch­ing takes place dur­ing the Krakow Film Fest­ival.


Dragon Forum also includes open film screen­ing of the Art of Doc­u­ment and con­fer­ences devoted to doc­u­ment­ar­ies and inter­na­tional film mar­ket. Together with its part­ners Academy of the Doc­u­ment organ­izes spe­cial ses­sions on inter­na­tional cop­ro­duc­tion in dif­fer­ent coun­tries.


The sched­ule of Dragon Forum 2012:

* script ses­sion in Warsaw, from 24^th till 27^th of Janu­ary
* indi­vidual pro­ject devel­op­ment con­sulta­tions in Feb­ru­ary and March
* pro­duc­tion ses­sion in Ber­lin, in April
* pitch­ing in Krakow, in the begin­ning of June, dur­ing Krakow Film Fest­ival.
* co-​production ses­sion in Leipzig, in Octo­ber, dur­ing the Inter­na­tional Fest­ival for Doc­u­ment­ary and Anim­ated Films


Work­shops are held in small group, con­duc­ted by Pol­ish and inter­na­tional experts. The work­shops lan­guage is Eng­lish. Fin­ished pro­jects will be presen­ted to com­mis­sion­ing edit­ors from major European and inter­na­tional TV sta­tions and funds as well as pro­du­cers, dis­trib­ut­ors and sales agents, who will come espe­cially for Dragon Forum, held in Krakow in first days of June 2012. For cer­tain selec­ted pro­jects par­ti­cip­a­tion in Co-​production Meet­ings at Dok Leipzig is fore­seen.

* entry to the European doc­u­ment­ary film­makers net­work
* access to the inter­na­tional film mar­ket


The course is ded­ic­ated to the film­makers, hav­ing developed idea of doc­u­ment­ary film for the inter­na­tional audi­ence, who want to access the inter­na­tional co-​production mar­ket.
