The portrait of an old, sick man, who finds happiness in his daily drudgery. Boredom according to him is lack of personal discipline, which can lead a person to ruin. He lives a solitary life. Though he likes people he exists symbiotically with the world around him. From childhood he has dreamed of building a splendid windmill and now in his old age he has managed to make this dream come true.
