LIVING IN THE SHADOW OF THE RADIO

POLISH TITLE: ŻYCIE W CIENIU RADIA

Recorded in the spring of 2008, this film documents the life of an older marriage who, every day, for fourteen
years, from dusk till dawn, have been listening to Radio Maryja, a Polish Catholic radio station, and actively
participating in the broadcasts of religious ceremonies. By combining the observation of their behaviour with offstage monologues and confronting it with random passers-by who sit on a bench in front of their house the film tries to capture the phenomenon of the Toruńbased radio station.
