JAZZ OUTSIDER

‘The way I see it, somewhere in the universe there is a big jazz club, where Gershwin and Cole Porter still compose their pieces. Our friends, with whom I recorded music many years ago, are also there’, says one of the protagonists of the documentary and Janusz Majewski brings his vision to life. His film is an extremely charming, nostalgic story, taking us back to the aforementioned jazz club in the mid-20th century. We will meet Krzysztof Komeda, Michał Urbaniak, Wojciech Karolak and Zbigniew Namysłowski there. We will have a drink with Miles Davis and learn which Polish musician was popular with the German military, and then we will listen to a performance of Sonia Bohosiewicz, a contemporary jazz enthusiast.
