ARAM

The film is a docu fiction devoted to Arkadiusz ‘Aram’ Rybicki, an activist of the opposition movement in Poland under communism. Rybicki was the initiator of the famous tables including the demands of the Interfactory Strike Committee announced in August 1980. He died in a plane crash in Smolensk. Krzysztof Talczewski, the film director, skilfully reconstructs this figure, full of paradoxes, exposing both the protagonist’s hippie and conservative fascinations. The film had its premiere at the European Solidarity Centre in August 2014.
