WALTZ WITH MIŁOSZ

POLISH TITLE: Walc z Miłoszem

The film explores the sources of inspiration found by the artists of the Eighth Day Theatre in Czesław Miłosz’s works. The starting point is a recording of the Polish Nobel prize laureate’s meeting with Ewa Wójciak, a spiritus movens of the theatre, at the poet’s home in Kraków, which was never published. Jokes, anecdotes and mutual complements merge with the memories of and commentaries on the painful events of the previous century. Fragments of theatre performances complement the film.
