POLISH TITLE: GOLFISTA

Stanisław Aronson was born in Warsaw to a well-off family of assimilated Jews. During the war he was a member of 'Kolegium A', an elite unit of Kedyw, which was Polish underground movement under Nazi Germany. He took part in numerous acts of sabotage and fought in the Warsaw Uprising. To escape persecution by the communist secret police, he fled to Israel, where he participated in Israeli-Arab wars. The film presents a portrait of Aronson, who talks about his life and the choices he had to make.

born in 1946 in Warsaw. He earned his degree in Film Directing from the Film School in Łódź (1972). He is successful in all film genres including document: Przechodzień (1985), Pro toto (1988), Piękny dwudziestoletni (1988), Daj mi to (1989), Całkiem spora apokalipsa (2002), fiction: Reflected Light (1989), Room For Rent (1993) and television series: Układ krążenia (1978) and has received many festival awards. He also directs theatre plays, works as a teacher and writes poetry.
