God’s madman, a relentless activist bringing humanitarian aid, a man who tries to expiate his sins is Juan van Tonder, an Afrikaner with traumatic experiences who runs an orphanage in a South African village of Pomfret. Observing his determination at work one may find out about his turbulent past and the extraordinary circumstances of his spiritual transformation. Will he manage to convince those he loves that he has become a different person? Will his loved ones be ready to help him?

born in 1965 in Puławy. He is a graduate of environmental engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology and the Film Directing Department of the PWSFTviT film school in Łódź. He has been a laureate of numerous festival awards (Prague, Neubrandenburg, Cracow, Lublin, Łódź). His most important films include: A Letter from Argentina (1997), I Am Bad (2000; Golden Hobby-Horse – 2001), Planet of Trash (2003).
