Born in 1959 in Bydgoszcz. He is a gradu­ate of math­em­at­ics at the Mikołaj Koper­nik Uni­ver­sity in Toruń (1983) and the Film Dir­ect­ing Depart­ment at the National Film, Tele­vi­sion and Theatre School in Łódź (1990). In 1991 he estab­lished the Everest Film Stu­dio, where he pro­duced 44 films. He is an author of doc­u­ment­ar­ies, among them being: Owoce ziemi czarnej (1992), Ganek (1998), Icarus (1999), Shared flight (2003), which were awar­ded more than 50 times, among oth­ers in Ober­hausen, San Fran­cisco, Cal­cutta and Krakow. A Les­son of Belor­us­sian has already been awar­ded in Ams­ter­dam, Leipzig, Kielce and Łódź.
